4 - Institutional Constraints Affecting Quality Assurance Processes in Tanzania’s Private Universities

The purpose of this study is to identify the institutional constraints quality assurance processes in Tanzania’s private universities and colleges. descriptive survey design combines qualitative quantitative research approaches. Purposive, stratified, random sampling procedures are used select a sample 486 participants who comprised 191 academic staff, 291 students, 4 officials from four universities. Questionnaires interviews for data collection. findings indicate that inadequate financing, lack capacity terms adequate, qualified experienced human resources undertake functions, clear viable policies, awareness on issues, leadership were identified major theoretical policy implications these also discussed.
